Weybridge Division is celebrating its 80th year this year, formed in April 1939 as a closed work Division at the Airscrew Co on Hamm Moor Estate.
In 1970 the Division moved to Wey Road, Weybridge into the old chauffeurs lodge, then in 1985 having raised the funds opened a new purpose built head quarters on the site.
Weybridge Division is unique in that it has had a large Mobile First Aid unit since 1968, an Ambulance, a 4×4 and a safety boat during its time. Not only serving the local community but also further afield, attending many major events in London and further.
Speaker Ray Pennock has been in St John Ambulance for over 60 years and in Weybridge Division for 47 years. In 2010 he published a book of his memoirs, ‘Fifty Years in St John Ambulance‘.
