The public involvement across North West Surrey about the future of all out-of-hospital and urgent care services, including the Weybridge site, is now expected to start in October. The Society will be represented in a Stakeholder Reference Group which is just being set up by the NHS NWS Clinical Commissioning Group to oversee the engagement and consultation process.
Update 19 September: There will be an exhibition-style drop-in event on Tuesday 2nd October from 3.00 – 8.00 pm at The Ship Hotel in Weybridge. Click for more details.
The Society also had an important meeting in August with the relevant NHS bodies, plus Surrey County Council and Elmbridge Council, where the Society’s WRAP plans (Weybridge Rebuild and Advance Project) were presented. The concept was well received by all the parties and it is hoped that further work will now progress on potential options for how services from all the public bodies could be be provided from a common facility on the lines of a ‘community services hub’.
