A planning application has gone in for a large distribution warehouse to be built at the junction of Addlestone Road and Hamm Moor Lane, backing onto the Wey Canal.
This could have potentially major consequences for everyone locally regarding local roads and traffic congestion. The developer has said it is for ‘last mile’ distribution, with potentially 24hr operation, which would involve large numbers of HGV trucks and delivery vans.
Local residents close to the site are organising a widespread campaign against it. They have set up a website with full details of the proposals including advice on how to object – see all the details
This comes under Runnymede Council with planning application number: RU.22/0776
