Weybridge Society is aware of new planning application 2018/0632 for Lincoln Court, Old Avenue, Weybridge. This is now for 28 flats instead of the currently approved 15 flats and represents a more than three-fold increase from the existing 9 flat block.
The application is described as part 3/part 4 storey, when it is actually part 4/part 5 storey, which might have misled some residents and caused them not to object.
The proposed block hugely overlooks neighbouring properties – particularly the 2 storey Gower Lodge houses – and has an access ramp and entrance door into a two floor (4 mezzanine levels) underground car park for 71 cars that is immediately adjacent to neighbouring properties.
No other onsite parking is provided and nearby residents are extremely concerned about the probable impact on the already dangerous levels of on-street parking in the area, given the way in which residents of other blocks with underground parking tend to prefer to park outside.
The closing date for comments is 11 May 2018.
