Thanks to everyone who filled in our survey about the Churchfields Town Paths. It’s very apparent from the detailed comments you provided that people really care about these paths. You all want to ensure that they remain a safe, pleasant and comfortable environment for people of all ages to get around quickly and conveniently or just take a stroll.
We have produced a report on the survey results which can be found below.
Unsurprisingly we received a wide variety of opinions about the proposed upgrade, and the survey has provided valuable input to the project, with the Society working closely with local councillors and the Surrey CC project team.
We are proposing a set of guidelines for considerate path use, and also developing ideas for an ongoing “Weybridge Paths Partnership” initiative which will promote and support safe active travel on these paths and deal with any emerging safety issues in a timely fashion. We hope this will alleviate some people’s concerns. This could also begin to address the issues with other shared-use paths in Weybridge that were raised in the question on this topic in the survey.
We continue to welcome your views on this, which you can send to email@example.com
