Brooklands Grove Project
The college’s plans are strategically significant as part of Weybridge’s future as a town.
Some significant points to note:
– The college wishes to modernise its facilities and also pay off some considerable debts
– It has entered into a partnership with Cala Homes to re-develop the site and provide up to 350 homes
– The site is classified as Green Belt and would need special planning approval
– The college expects to put in a planning application later in 2022
– The land proposed for housing is largely not ‘green’ because it has previously been used for landfill
– There would be mix of housing including affordable and key worker homes
– There would be various facilities, including a sports hall, mainly open to the public outside of college hours
– The existing extensive woodland areas would be retained and opened up to the public
– There would be access for pupils to Heathside School via the college grounds, including an existing direct path from the station

The Society is keen to hear resident’s views on the plans so it can take them into account when it does its own assessment. Please email webeditor@weybridgesociety.org.uk
The college is also looking for feedback on the plans but only asking what parts you consider important – CLICK HERE
The consultation closes on Sunday 31st July 2022.
