Save the dates: Friday 14th – Sunday 23rd June 2024
From June 14th to the 23rd 2024 the Weybridge Festival will be celebrating everything the town has to offer in 10 days of events showcasing its wealth of local talent including actors, artists, sculptors, photographers, singers, musicians, poets, writers and dancers. This follows the success of the 2023 10-day festival which opened with a dinner and exhibition at Brooklands College, followed by a visual arts exhibition by local artists and a full programme of events throughout the town culminating in around 8,000 attending the Community Fair held in Churchfields Recreation Ground.
In 2024 arrangements for the Community Fair on June 22nd are in full swing and this promises to be a packed day showcasing local talent and lots of family fun. For the duration of the festival, a visual arts exhibition is being planned together with numerous activities throughout the town. It’s also the celebration of the centenary of Weybridge Cricket Club and musical midsummer plans are in the pipeline.
This year we are excited to announce that D’Oyly Carte Island will curate a music and arts festival in the beautiful grounds of the island with a vision that is breathtaking. The original owners, Richard and Helen D’Oyly Carte, created the house and island so their guests from the Savoy Hotel and Savoy Theatre could come for long weekends of hospitality, entertainment and music. These guests included W.S Gilbert, Arthur Sullivan, Oscar Wilde and JM Barrie (Peter Pan) to name a few.
