Consultation on Surrey’s new Transport Plan which includes plans to reduce the 46% of carbon emissions currently generated by transport, is now underway.
The draft transport plans sets out the council’s vision for transport in Surrey and the future choices we all need to make towards net zero carbon by 2050 or earlier.
The proposals include increasing walking and cycling routes, providing more charging points and parking for electric vehicles, increased bus services and
charging for transport use. It also proposes improving internet connections for home-working residents and redesigning neighbourhoods that enable easier access to local services, lessening the need to travel by car.
You can review the draft proposals and share your views on the Surrey Transport Plan web page.
