Industrial Units – Weybridge Business Park (RU.24/1257)
The Planning Inspector has allowed the appeal by Bridge UK Properties for the 24 hour operation of the proposed 11 industrial units at Weybridge Business Park, either side of Addlestone Road. The original planning application (RU.23/1066) was granted in 2023.
This is a big disappointment for local residents and for Runnymede Council who have to pay Bridge’s appeal costs.
However, there is a significant condition imposed on the development that no tenant or operator can occupy more than four of the industrial units at any one time. This will stop the sites being used by one large organisation, which would be the most likely type of company wanting significant 24 hour operations.
