Funding for the Weybridge Men’s Shed Charity Project

17th June 2021

The project sited within the Churchfields Allotments, has been operating for a few weeks, although somewhat restricted due to COVID. It now holds 3-hour sessions from 1:30pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and has already started on some tasks, with more in the pipeline.

More money is required to make the sheds fully operational and EBC this week awarded the Project £12k taking current funding to 63% of the total required.
The Project is seeking the required balance by applying to Surrey County Council’s new “Your Fund” scheme and has already been assessed as being able to create a lasting legacy for the relief of loneliness and social isolation within our community.

As part of its adjudication process, Surrey is currently consulting the local community through a simple online questionnaire, open until 7 July.
To register your support go to https://yourfundsurreyproposals.commonplace.is/ ; then click on ‘Have your say‘ – it only takes 90 seconds.

More information on the Project can be found on its website at: Weybridgeshed.org and can be followed on Facebook page: WeybridgeMensShed1 .

Thanks for your support.
