Elmbridge Museum needs help for its 2021 Historic High Streets exhibition

25th November 2020

Elmbridge High Streets have been a hub of diverse community life for centuries, each witnessing a huge amount of history. Now, they need our help to uncover it!
The exhibition will look at the changing identities of high streets across the borough, as well as the people who have influenced them.
By gathering a variety of contributions from the local community, they’ll look at both ‘then’ and ‘now’, tracking the evolution of the high street from the 50s, 60s and 70s right up to the present day.

If you have memories, personal photographs, videos, or even objects which relate to the distant or more recent history of any Elmbridge High Street, then they’d love to hear from you. Your contribution will help to curate the online exhibition, and could even end up going on display!

For more information on how to take part:

Call the museum on 01372 474 568
Email ebcmuseum@elmbridge.gov.uk
Closing date for submissions: 21st January 2021
