Electric Vehicle Charging Hub in Brooklands (2024/2554)
Permission has been granted for the Electric Vehicle Charging Hub on Sopwith Way in Brooklands Industrial Park.
This will be a 3-storey ‘van park’ for the parking and overnight charging of about 550 vans.
It is understood it will be used by Amazon as it moves over to electric vehicles.
Hopefully, this will eventually mean that Amazon’s existing diesel vans will stop being parked in the empty office sites off Locke King Road.
