The Weybridge Society is a volunteer run community organisation that helps residents stay informed about local issues, planning proposals, community projects and changes that shape our town. We encourage constructive engagement, share information, and support initiatives that improve life in Weybridge.

- We are non-political and open to all.
- We liaise regularly with our local Councillors and council officers, as well as other local organisations.
- We have a group of Trustees and a Committee that meet together bi-monthly.
- Anyone is welcome to attend, just contact the Chairman for the meeting dates. You might want to come to present information and/or learn more about becoming an active member by seeing what we do.
Enthusiastic and pro-active persons are welcome to join our committee in any capacity. We’re always looking for people who want to track planning applications, get involved in our local initiatives in areas like healthy travel, traffic, parking, or placemaking, and also assisting with our communications.

Blue Plaque Scheme
The purpose of the Weybridge Society Blue Plaque Scheme (WSBPS) is to commemorate those people who have had a strong association with Weybridge and have contributed significantly to human welfare or happiness. The scheme is limited to the area of Weybridge.
The first plaque was unveiled on 12th June 2024 at Eyot House, D’Oyly Island to commemorate the extraordinary life of Helen D’Oyly Carte.
A second plaque for Imre Horváth was unveiled in 2025 at the North West Surrey Synagogue for his major contribution in its establishment.
Local residents are welcome to suggest other potential nominees.
