Welcome to Weybridge Society
The Weybridge Society has been working for over fifty years to keep Weybridge a pleasant place in which to live. With you as a member we intend doing so for at least another fifty years.
You may have been born in Weybridge or, like most people, you made a deliberate choice to come here.
Making Weybridge your home - always
The Weybridge Society wants to ensure that you would never want to live anywhere else by protecting what is good about Weybridge and improving what isn't. We in the Society want to work with you in this challenging and enjoyable venture.
You insure your home - insure your town too
You want to protect those things that are most important to you - but it isn't just your house, garden and contents that you value: your neighbourhood is important too.
With its riverside setting and good access to the M25, Heathrow and London, Weybridge is both an attractive and convenient place in which to live and work. But because of this, Weybridge attracts office and housing development. There is thus a threat to the local environment: through redevelopment, encroachment of the green belt, and increased traffic on the local road network.
The Weybridge Society is continually guarding against unwanted development. On the other hand, no one wants to live in a town that is frozen in time. So when development is inevitable, the society seeks to ensure that it is of highest quality and is in keeping with its surroundings.
Weybridge is more than buildings
Weybridge is a thriving town. It has a rich history and a vibrant community. Weybridge Society works with the Surrey and Elmbridge councils along with other organisations in seeking to ensure that Weybridge has the facilities you expect of such a town.
