The next meeting of the Weybridge Society will be on Wednesday 12th October at 8pm in the large hall of the St James' Church Parish Centre, Weybridge (please note for this venue parking is in Churchfields Road car park).
The guest speaker will be Richard Norris, who will give an illustrated talk entitled ‘THE LIFE AND WORKS OF WALTER GEORGE TARRANT’
Walter Tarrant was a builder, who in 1911 purchased 964 acres of land which was to become the famous St George’s Hill estate. He also built many finely crafted homes, not only on the hill, but in nearby Byfleet and Pyrford.
This promises to be a fascinating insight into the work of this remarkable man – a talk not to be missed.
