Barry Hylton Davies, an ambassador speaker for Painshill Park, will give an illustrated talk on five fine Surrey gardens. We have five remarkable eighteenth century landscape gardens - all within four miles of Weybridge: Claremont, Esher Place, Oatlands Park, Painshill and Woburn Farm. Two of them survive, and records and remnants remain of the other three. This illustrated talk will compare these gardens and indentify the major influences behind their design - talk not to be missed. The meeting will be held at the Library Hall, Church Street at 8:00pm. All welcome - members free, guests £1.
