The current Elmbridge Museum exhibition is called "Accessorise" and is on until 8th June.
It describes a story of superficial splendour, presenting shoes fans hats jewellery, purses, parasols and other items of fabulous frippery - some window shopping plus surprising social history along the way.

Related to the exhibition, Dr Susan Kay-Williams (Chief Executive of the Royal School of Needlework) is giving an illustrated textiles talk called "Imperial Purple to Denim Blue" on Sat 4th June at the Museum, 2pm.
